Jorge Mendes has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo for his hat-trick against Atletico Madrid, describing the Juventus forward as ‘epic, legendary and divine’.
Mendes has never missed an opportunity to praise Ronaldo, and the super-agent was at it again after Juve’s Champions League comeback against Atleti, which saw the No 7 score all three goals in a 3-0 victory.
“Cristiano is the best player in the history of football and he showed it [on Tuesday],” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He’s an alien. Cristiano made the difference in England, making history for United. In Madrid he became Real’s best-ever player and they wouldn’t have won so much without him.
“Ronaldo was the leading light of their four Champions Leagues. Now I’m certain that he’ll make a difference in Italy too. He’ll make history at Juve.
“Three adjectives for him? Epic, legendary, divine.”
