Porto have made it clear that ‘we’ll do everything’ to keep Serie A target Hector Herrera at the club.
Inter, Milan and Roma have all been linked with summer swoops for Herrera, whose contract expires at the end of the season, but Porto’s President warned he would not give up the midfielder without a fight.
“It’ll depend on the will of both the club and lad,” Pinto da Costa told A Bola.
“We’ll do everything to keep Hector, but I can’t say more than that right now. There are reports that have been put out with certain intentions.
“We know everything and we’ll try to defend ourselves from them.”
The 28-year-old recently helped his side knock the Giallorossi out of the Champions League.
