Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is back in Portugal’s squad after almost a year of no call-ups.
Ronaldo last played for Portugal at the 2018 World Cup but, like Lionel Messi, returns for the upcoming international break.
Juve right-back Joao Cancelo, Napoli left-back Mario Rui and Inter midfielder Joao Mario are also selected, but there is no space for Parma defender Bruno Alves or Inter’s Cedric Soares.
The Euro 2016 winners begin the defence of their title in qualifying against Ukraine on March 22, ahead of hosting Serbia three days later.
