Sinisa Mihajlovic said the key to beating Torino 3-2 on their own turf was attitude. “Bologna play to win and not draw. We created so many chances.”
The Rossoblu earned their second consecutive Serie A victory, something the club hasn’t achieved since February 2018, fighting back from an early own goal.
“We prepared the game well and the lads were under pressure in the second half, but ultimately didn’t suffer all that much,” the Coach told DAZN and Sky Sport Italia.
“We managed to score three goals away to one of the strongest defences in the division. This was only possible because we created so many chances.
“Bologna play to win and not draw. It went well today, considering we had gone behind and saw a goal disallowed. The red cards at the end could’ve compromised the match too.”
This result has dented Torino’s hopes of qualifying for the Europa League, but Mihajlovic still has a soft spot for the club that fired him.
“I am disappointed for the lads and of course the Torino fans, but I think they can certainly qualify for Europe. Obviously, at the same time, I am happy for my fans and my lads this evening.”
