Former Lazio and Napoli Coach Edy Reja is expected to take over from sacked Christian Panucci as Coach of Albania.
The 73-year-old has not worked since leaving Atalanta in the summer of 2016.
He has emerged as the hot favourite and is reported to be in advanced negotiations with the Albanian Football Federation to take the job.
Panucci was sacked this morning after losing the opening Euro 2020 qualifier 2-0 at home against Turkey.
He was appointed in the summer of 2017, but only managed four wins, two draws and nine defeats.
Reja is set to become the third consecutive Italian tactician on the Albania bench after Gianni De Biasi and Panucci.
