Lecce won their rescheduled Serie B Week 22 game by an historic margin, beating Ascoli 7-0 at the Stadio Via Del Mare.
The match was originally abandoned just 30 seconds in on February 1 after a violent clash of heads left Lecce midfielder Manuel Scavone unconscious.
He was in the starting XI today, fully recovered, and given a standing ovation by the crowd.
Lecce celebrated the occasion by scoring a remarkable seven goals, the biggest Serie B victory since Genoa 7-0 Reggina in September 1995.
This result also catapulted the Salentini into third place.
