ADL: 'Napoli changed for Ancelotti'

Aurelio De Laurentiis believes Carlo Ancelotti’s first Napoli season has been a success, as “we changed mentality and learned who might be better off elsewhere.”

The former Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich boss took over from Maurizio Sarri and switched to a 4-4-2 tactic.

“The season has been very positive for Napoli, because with a new Coach we changed mentality and our approach to the game,” De Laurentiis told reporters.

“It’s been a year where, thanks to Ancelotti, we experimented all the potential of the various players at our disposal and learned who is most suited to Ancelotti’s football and who, albeit a great champion with real prospects, perhaps might be better off playing elsewhere.”
