Atalanta’s CEO has insisted that Gian Piero Gasperini and Josip Ilicic will not be leaving the club this summer.
Gasperini has been increasingly linked with the Roma vacancy in recent weeks, while Ilicic’s agent claimed earlier in the month that the attacker would be an ideal player for the Giallorossi.
However, Luca Percassi told L’Eco di Bergamo: “We have no evidence of that [referring to the Coach leaving].
“Perhaps it’s because they already know what our answer will be: it’s not going to happen.

“Gasperini is the right man with the right squad. The Coach deserves huge credit and has three years left on his contract. That’s final.
“The next Atalanta will be competitive, with Ilicic untouchable like many others. In January we always said we were prepared to make investments that could improve us.
“This team aren’t easy to improve and now the transfer market has changed a lot for us: when you show up and you’re Atalanta, prices rise.”
