Tardini positive for Italy

The Stadio Tardini in Parma will host an Italy match for the seventh time this evening with the Euro 2020 qualifier against Liechtenstein.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT.

There have so far been six senior internationals played at this venue, resulting in five Italy victories and one defeat.

The only loss was also the most recent, a 2-1 friendly against France on November 14, 2012.

In all, there were three competitive matches played here, all of them various World Cup qualifiers.

The Azzurri beat Hungary 1-0 in October 2001, then Belarus 4-3 in October 2004 and eventually Cyprus 3-2 in October 2009.

Curiously, that clash with Cyprus was also the last competitive Italy match with Fabio Quagliarella in the starting XI.

He provided two assists, as Alberto Gilardino bagged a hat-trick.
