Ex-Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli claims he will go down in history as the only person to have ‘beaten’ Mino Raiola.

Mirabelli was Milan’s sporting director when Donnarumma signed his last contract in the summer of 2017, although it was not without controversy as Raiola regularly threatened to find a new club for the goalkeeper.

“Donnarumma’s renewal with Milan was a masterstroke. We didn’t pay any commission,” he told Libero.

“Donnarumma’s renewal with Milan was a masterstroke. We didn’t pay any commission,” he told Libero.

“On the last day of negotiations, we met his family and representatives. Raiola got up and told him, ‘don’t sign, we’re leaving, come on.’

“As soon as he left, Gigio took the pen and signed. I beat Raiola, although someone like him won’t be beaten again.

“Everyone wondered why Donnarumma wrote social posts that were immediately deleted. It’s simple: Raiola had him write them, so I had them deleted…”
