The Partenopei have Piotr Zielinski suspended, with Lorenzo Insigne, Amadou Diawara, Raul Albiol, Vlad Chiriches, Faouzi Ghoulam and David Ospina injured.

Allan just returned from international duty with Brazil and is not 100 per cent fit, while Fabian Ruiz is just out of hospital following a nasty bout of flu.

Ancelotti hinted over the last few days that he could at some point experiment winger Callejon in the middle of the park and Sky Sport Italia suggest that could be as early as today.

It would allow Amin Younes and Simone Verdi to start on the wings, resting one of Allan and Fabian.

However, it’s more likely the Callejon midfield test will only be performed later on in the game and not from the start.

As for Roma, they are missing Lorenzo Pellegrini, Stephan El Shaarawy, Alessandro Florenzi and Javier Pastore.

Kostas Manolas, Daniele De Rossi and Cengiz Under are back in the squad after lengthy lay-offs, but Claudio Ranieri is expected to risk only the centre-back from the start.

Probable line-ups

Roma: Olsen; Santon, Fazio, Manolas, Kolarov; Zaniolo, Nzonzi, Cristante; Perotti, Dzeko, Schick

Napoli: Meret; Malcuit, Maksimovic, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Callejon, Allan, Fabian Ruiz, Younes; Milik, Mertens
