“We know that we need another six points for the Scudetto and will try to get three of those tonight,” the Vice-President told Sky Sport Italia.

“Juve-Milan is traditionally a massive fixture, an historic one for Italian football. These are two big teams and two huge clubs, so it’s always a very tight and tricky match to call.”

Nedved was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s intensive fitness work and therapy to get over a muscular injury in time for the Champions League quarter-finals against Ajax.

“Ronaldo is doing everything to be there, as the Champions League is his competition. We’d be very happy if he does return, but we are not putting pressure on him.

“Ronaldo always wants to play and if it was up to him, he’d be on the pitch right now. We had to stall him! He always wants to get out there and play, so is also a positive influence on the squad.”
