Liverpool fan Sean Cox has thanked supporters from Liverpool, Roma and all over the world for raising funds after he was left with brain damage.

The 54-year-old from Ireland was attacked by Roma ultras outside Anfield just before the Champions League semi-final in April 2018.

The global football community came together to raise funds for his treatment and he left hospital for a return a rehabilitation centre in Ireland this week.

Cox will be at a charity match in his honour in Dublin on Friday between the Liverpool Legends and Irish Republic Legends.
