Chievo captain Sergio Pellissier has insisted that ‘I still feel like a kid’ after turning 40 on Friday.

Pellissier joined Chievo from Torino all the way back in 2000 and has gone on to score 139 goals in 510 appearances for the Flying Donkeys, even playing with them in the Champions League twice during the 2006-07 campaign.

The striker also has the unique record of netting in his only Italy cap, although his side have all-but-dropped down to Serie B.

“Forty years is a lot,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“You pass the big four-O and understand that soon, you’ll have to change your job and lifestyle.

“I don’t know when I’ll stop playing. It also depends on what the President wants to do.

“I don’t want to think about my future, I still feel like a kid and I’d like to end the year doing my bit.

“I hope our fans can spend the final days of the season without the suffering we all felt during it.”
