A group of around 50 Lazio ultras unveiled a banner “honouring Benito Mussolini” in Milan today while chanting football slogans ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
The second leg kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) after a 0-0 draw in Rome.
This afternoon, a group of approximately 50 Lazio ultras from the Irriducibili group went about ensuring their ode to Fascism was clear for all to see.

This afternoon, a group of approximately 50 Lazio ultras from the Irriducibili group went about ensuring their ode to Fascism was clear for all to see.
They posed with a huge banner that read: ‘Honour to Benito Mussolini’ and made Fascist salutes before singing football chants insulting Milan.
It is likely they did this because they knew full well the banner would not be allowed into San Siro.
This was in the middle of the afternoon in Corso Buenos Aires close to Piazza Loreto, right in the heart of the city of Milan.
Mussolini and his mistress Claretta Petacci were shot by partisans on April 28, 1945 and their bodies strung up in Piazzale Loreto.
There was already huge tension around this game after Milan players Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko held up Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi’s jersey like a trophy to the ultras following their game a few weeks ago.
This then prompted some Lazio ultras to aim racist chants at the pair during Lazio-Chievo.
