Speaking to Bein Sports, the 30-year-old Belgian described the differences in lifestyle between the two cities.

“In Rome, the fans are much warmer and more affectionate. Especially towards the team. In Milan, they say that everything is about business and it is a little bit more competitive. Whereas in Rome they are more relaxed.

“Even though when I used to go for a walk around the city, one person would recognize me then more and more people would show up.

“They told me that in Milan it is much quieter, but if I walk down the street, I still have the same problem.”

Nainggolan joined the Nerazzurri from the Giallorossi in the summer and reunited with his former Coach Luciano Spalletti.
