Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has accepted a fine of £8,000 and confessed to misconduct after his dismissal against Burnley.

The incident occurred at the final whistle of the 2-2 draw, at the 94th minute.

Sarri, who sent assistant Gianfranco Zola to do the post-match interviews, accepted the ‘standard penalty’ from the Football Association, so avoids a touchline ban.

Both Zola and Sarri claim they were insulted by Burnley staff with “offensive” comments about coming from Italy.
