“We dropped some important points this evening, but can make up for it next week against Chievo,” Nainggolan told DAZN.

“Worst comes to the worst, we’ll still be a point ahead of Atalanta in third, but we know it’s going to be difficult until the very end. It’s still all in our hands and it’ll be tough in every match.

“These are those classic games where the smaller side clam up in defence and then go on the counter-attack. We should’ve finished it off earlier, but lacked some determination in the box, because the situations were there and we had the chances to do better.

“Now we’ve got three finals to play and we need to qualify for the Champions League.”
