Torino President Urbano Cairo is confident Gianluca Petrachi will stay put as he ‘doesn’t think’ the sporting director will leave for Roma.
Petrachi has emerged as the runaway favourite to fill Roma’s sporting-director vacancy this summer, but Cairo believes the 50-year-old will show loyalty to Toro.
“I’m a bit surprised by all the talk and articles about Petrachi,” he told Radio Uno.

“I’m a bit surprised by all the talk and articles about Petrachi,” he told Radio Uno.
“I won’t weigh in on the topic because he has a contract until 2020, and in these two months we’ve never even talked about it.
“If there was anything, Petrachi would have told me, given the relationship we’ve had for nine years now.
“I don't think it’s true. I think he’ll stay with us.”
