Lucas Paqueta’s season is over after the Milan midfielder was given a three-match ban for his red card against Bologna.

Paqueta had been booked for reacting badly to a foul during Milan’s 2-1 win on Monday, but he was then shown a straight red card for tapping the arm of referee Marco Di Bello.

The suspension means the Brazilian will miss the Rossoneri’s remaining Serie A fixtures against Fiorentina, Frosinone and SPAL.

Elsewhere, the FIGC has handed out two-match bans to Bologna pair Mitchell Dijks and Artur Ionita for their dismissals at San Siro, as well as Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.

Federico Bernardeschi will miss Juventus’ trip to Roma on Sunday after picking up a yellow-card suspension.

The winger is joined out of next round by Bologna pair Nicola Sansone and Andrea Poli, Parma midfielders Juraj Kucka and Antonino Barilla, Sampdoria’s Omar Colley, Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic, Torino’s Tomas Rincon and Frosinone’s Marco Sportiello.

Atalanta have been hit the hardest as Alejandro Gomez, Gianluca Mancini and Andrea Masiello will all skip their visit of Genoa on Saturday.

Cagliari boss Rolando Maran is banned from taking to the dugout this weekend and fined €5,000 for ‘leaving his technical area, disputing a refereeing decision, making insulting remarks to officials and, at the time of his dismissal, showing a disrespectful attitude’ during his side’s 2-1 defeat to Napoli.

Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini and his club are also ordered to pay fines of €7,000 each.
