“I’m very happy with what my son did with Tottenham, we still can’t believe it!” Jorge Rodrigues da Silva told Radio Marte.

“Lucas believed in it like the rest of the team. We were glued to the TV from our home and I can’t explain this moment in words, it’s all so extraordinary.

“Football is made of moments and you have to be good at taking advantage of them. Lucas did that.

“I don’t know if he’ll play in the Final, but the important thing is that he makes himself ready to make a difference.”

The winger remains the last player to join Spurs, arriving from Paris Saint-Germain all the way back in January 2018.

However, Jorge added in his interview: “Before he joined Tottenham, in January 2018 there was also talk of Lucas Moura going to Napoli.

“Napoli were interested in him and there was even a meeting, but Tottenham were already ahead in the negotiations. That’s why he went there.”
