Simone Inzaghi believes Lazio’s experience puts them in good stead for the Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta on Wednesday.
Lazio have won six of their 10 Coppa Finals, with their last victory coming in 2013, and Inzaghi expressed complete confidence in his squad to get the job done on home soil.
“It’s a very important game and we’re playing for the cup at our stadium, in front of our fans,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“We’re fortunate to have so many players used to playing in games of a certain type. We’ll have to be clear-headed, aware of our chances.
“I want to lift this cup at our stadium and with our fans. We’ve lost to Atalanta twice, but the game two weeks ago taught us so much.
“Atalanta are doing extraordinary things and have a great Coach, but I’m confident because I’ve seen my lads work in the best way.
“We’ll have to be ready at every turn, even after 90 minutes. The team have arrived in the best way. We had an excellent game at Cagliari, which isn’t an easy place to play.
“Tomorrow will be a dry game. I want to see my team united and compact, without any drops. We can’t make individual mistakes against Atalanta.
“I don’t think one game will decide everything. I think everything will be decided at the end of the season, I’ll talk to the club.
“This isn’t the time to discuss that. I’ll see who plays. I’m lucky to have three strikers who are doing very well.
“Whoever’s on the bench shouldn’t feel like a backup. Unity of intent will make the difference.
“I’ll need someone from the bench at any moment. This is the shortest way to get into Europe, and that makes the clash even more important.
“There will still be two League games left, but right now we’re focused on tomorrow.”
