Napoli are officially second seeds in the Champions League group phase draw, because Sevilla have not qualified.
The Partenopei will hope to get an easier group than they’ve had to deal with in recent years thanks to their new status as second seeds.
This became mathematically certain after Sevilla dropped out of the running for Champions League qualification.
It means they’ll avoid the likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Porto.
If Liverpool and Chelsea fail to win the Champions League and Europa League Finals, then they too will be out of Napoli’s reach.
