The teenager took to Instagram to thank the Lega Serie A after he won the Young Player of the Year Award.

“I would like to thank the Lega Serie A for naming me best young player of the year. I know that I still have a lot of hard work to do and that is what I plan on doing every day with the sole objective of achieving the things we were unable to this season.

“Forza Roma!”

The teenager burst on to the scene this year, scoring six times in 36 appearances for the Giallorossi, including a memorable brace in the Champions League against Porto.

He has been heavily linked with moves to Juventus or Tottenham Hotspur.
