Chievo announced they have parted ways with director of sport Giancarlo Romairone and Sergio Pellissier could replace him.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 40-year-old striker is set to be given a role with the Gialloblu after announcing his retirement from playing.
Romairone was with the Veronese club since 2017 and was relieved of his position in part due to their relegation to Serie B.
Pellissier spent the last 17 years at the Stadio Bentegodi, scoring 139 times in 514 games, while in 2009 he scored on his sole appearance for Italy in a 3-0 defeat of Northern Ireland.
President Luca Campedelli had said last weekend that Pellissier would be offered the role of President, but he might want to work his way up through director of sport first.
