Lazio President Claudio Lotito was vague when asked if Simone Inzaghi will take the Juventus job. “I don’t know, we’ll have to see.”
The Biancocelesti patron was at an event held in the Vatican today when reporters asked the likelihood of his current tactician replacing Max Allegri at the Allianz Stadium.
“I don’t know,” was his response. “We’ll have to see.”
It is a step down from the version put forward by director of sport Igli Tare only a few days ago.
“The club wants Simone to stay, and I believe he wants the same,” was the initial approach.
However, Tuttomercatoweb report that Lotito offered Inzaghi €2.5m a year to stay, but the 43-year-old refused to commit, waiting instead for the end of the season and the managerial merry-go-round to begin.
