Torino director Gianluca Petrachi denied agreeing to a new role at Roma. “They are not the only club interested and I haven’t decided yet.”
The 50-year-old recently announced he was stepping down from his role at Torino, after spending the past nine years as the Granata’s sporting director, and has been heavily linked with taking over at the Stadio Olimpico.
“They are not the only club interested, and I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet,” Petrachi told Sky Sport Italia.
“I tried to ignore all the rumours about me joining Roma, I focused on my work at Torino, I watched all our training sessions, well maybe I missed a couple for logistical reasons.
“I was clear, I told President Urbano Cairo that I would make my decision at the end of the season. Whoever spreads these stories are not telling the truth. At the end of the championship I will make my decision and I hope it will be shared and accepted then.”
