New Napoli contract for Callejon

Napoli will reportedly keep Coach Carlo Ancelotti happy and offer Jose Maria Callejon a two-year extension on his contract that runs out next season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolò Schira, there has been a positive meeting between the player’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon and Azzurri sporting director Cristiano Guintoli.

The 32-year-old’s contract was due to run out next year, but between club, Coach, and player there was no wish to cut short the Spaniard's stay at the Stadio San Paolo and he will now be offered a two-year extension.

The right-winger joined the Partenopei in 2013 for around €10m and has been an ever-present in the side since then, scoring 78 times in 303 appearances.
