Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly given the green light for negotiations to begin with Tottenham Hotspur’ €30m-rated right-back Kieran Trippier.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the England international has expressed his desire to join the Azzurri and De Laurentiis is willing to close the deal.
The 28-year-old former Manchester City youth product has won 16 caps for his country and will be playing in the Champions League Final next weekend.
However, any possible deal would have to wait until after that continental showcase with Liverpool on June 1.
Meanwhile, Atalanta’s versatile wing-back Timothy Castagne is also among the names being linked with the Partenopei for a summer transfer.
