The Coach had been widely criticised and it was expected he’d be fired this summer after an early Champions League exit and dismal end to the Ligue 1 season.

However, today PSG announced they had extended his contract to June 2021.

Paris had been a viable option for ex-Juventus boss Allegri and former Manchester United chief Mourinho.

Tuchel had been quietly mocking the media last night in his post-match interviews when asked about his future.

“Honestly, I’m quite worried that I keep getting asked these questions. It feels like everyone knows something that I don’t,” said Tuchel with tongue firmly in cheek.

“Do you have information? Should I be worried? I know anything can happen in football…”
