Rodrigo Palacio hopes Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will stay with Bologna, but admits his own future at the Dall’Ara is also up in the air.

They ended the season with 44 points and seven consecutive home victories, including tonight’s 3-2 over Napoli.

“We are playing good football, we go out there only to win and the Coach changed that, as we’ve played so well from February onwards,” the Argentine told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are playing good football, we go out there only to win and the Coach changed that, as we’ve played so well from February onwards,” the Argentine told Sky Sport Italia.

The crowd at the Stadio Dall’Ara was calling repeatedly for Mihajlovic to commit himself to Bologna next season. Will he stay?

“That is his decision. He has done very well here, the fans would love him to remain, the President will speak tomorrow and we all hope he’ll stay.

“If we keep playing like this, or at least start with this approach, then we can have a very good season.”

Palacio confessed his own future with the Rossoblu is by no means guaranteed either.

“I don’t know if I’ll be here next season, I have to talk to the club and we need to reach an agreement.

“It doesn’t matter if I score or not, as the important thing is that the team wins. I train well and run hard, but my teammates make it easy for me too.”

Palacio was asked if he will cut his famous ‘La Trenza’ plait after securing Serie A safety.

“No, I’ll only cut that when I retire.”
