Doria welcome champions Juventus to Marassi for the final game of the season, in what could be a farewell to striker Fabio Quagliarella, who is top of the goalscorer charts with 26 goals to his name.

“We want to do well, we will try and beat the strongest team in the league, give our fans a send-off and celebrate Quagliarella winning the Capocannoniere title,” he said at his Press conference.

“I will talk with President Massimo Ferrero and sporting director Carlo Osti about my future after the season finishes, and only if I leave can you ask me what I’ll miss about being at Sampdoria.”

The Blucerchiati city rivals Genoa face the prospect of being relegated today if they don’t get a better result than Empoli.

“The Derby della Lanterna is good for Serie A, it brings a lot of passion and excitement, but I think whoever stays up will have deserved it more than the other.

“Personally, I had a good experience in Tuscany with Empoli, they gave me a chance and I will always be grateful for that.”

The 51-year-old tactician spent one season at the Stadio Carlo Castellani where he led his side to a tenth-place finish in Serie A before being snapped up by the Ligurian club.
