Atalanta President Antonio Percassi has asserted that Gian Piero Gasperini will lead the club into the Champions League next season.

Gasperini made history on Sunday as he became the first Atalanta Coach to qualify for the Champions League, courtesy of a 3-1 win against Sassuolo.

The 61-year-old has been linked with taking over at Roma, but Percassi made it clear his man was staying put.

“It’s been an extraordinary season, we also played very well,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
