The Rossoblu lost 2-1 to Le Zebrette at the Sardegna Arena, despite taking the lead through Leonardo Pavoletti’s 16th league goal of the season.

“I’m sorry for the loss tonight, but we’ve been safe for a while now,” said the Coach at his post-match Press conference.

“We achieved our goal of staying up well in advance of the end of the season, despite having three very difficult months.”

The Rossoblu won just six times since the Christmas period and only one of those victories came away from home, which was a 3-0 over bottom club Chievo.

“We’re sorry for the defeat tonight, but we can’t complain too much about our season. I don’t want to talk about my future, as the championship has just finished and it is still too early to discuss these matters.

“However, obviously I will meet with the club and talk things over, but right now I want to congratulate my players especially those who have played right until the end.”
