Gigi Di Biagio has named his provisional Italy squad for the European Under-21 Championship, including Alex Meret, Sandro Tonali and Riccardo Orsolini.
Italy are hosting the tournament with San Marino in June and the pre-training retreat begins in Rome on Wednesday.
Bologna forward Simone Edera, who is owned by Torino, has pulled out due to injury, so Pescara pair Riccardo Sottil and Ferdinando Del Sole are called up instead.
Milan full-back Davide Calabria will only join up from June 3, as he is undergoing treatment, while Cittadella striker Gabriele Moncini has been allowed to wait until the Serie B promotion play-off final against Verona.
