Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino refused to commit his future to Spurs after being asked about Juventus. “We’ll have time to talk after the Final.”
The tactician was at a Press conference ahead of the Champions League Final with Liverpool in Barcelona when asked a specific question by an Italian reporter on Serie A links.
“Today nothing is more important than the game we have ahead. We can make history, provide our fans with the best happiness in football that you can provide.
“To talk about individual things is a little bit embarrassing today, because I am not important. I am not important, what happens in the future with me… we have bigger things to think about.
“It’s the Final of the Champions League and I am nothing to worry about. I am not more important than the Champions League or the possibility of winning a trophy.
“Of course, rumours are rumours, they are out there and of course you’re going to ask about me, but today I think the focus is 200 per cent on the Final.
“Of course, after the Final we are going to have time to talk, but today my commitment to Tottenham is 200 per cent.”
While Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is the hot favourite to take over from Max Allegri at Juventus, Pochettino remains a very strong contender.
Bianconeri director of sport Fabio Paratici told DAZN on Sunday that no movement would be made on finding a new tactician until “after the tournaments have concluded.”
This could be referring to either the Champions League or the Europa League.
