Leonardo Semplici has reportedly agreed to remain at SPAL next season, which would be his sixth year at the Ferrara-based club.
According to news agency Ansa, a meeting today with directors proved fruitful and Semplici committed himself to the Biancazzurri.
He has a contract to June 2020, but it is possible they will extend it to 2021 as well as increase the salary.
“I am very grateful to SPAL, but also ambitious,” said the Coach over the last few days.
Semplici had been linked with Genoa, Milan or Atalanta for next term.
If confirmed, it’ll be Semplici’s sixth season at the helm of SPAL, taking this club from Serie C to the top flight.
As Max Allegri left Juventus this summer, he’d be the longest-serving tactician currently in Serie A.
