According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Azzurri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has asked the Tuscan side to not consider bids from other clubs for the Algeria international, as the Neapolitans are ready to make an offer.

The Partenopei have close ties with Empoli, signing several players from them over the years and are set to purchase right-back Di Lorenzo for €10m in the coming days.

The paper reports that the newly relegated side want around €10m for the 21-year-old, but Giuntoli is trying to lower the fee and include performance-based bonuses instead.

Bennacer was a revelation this season in the Empoli midfield and has attracted the interest of both Inter and Roma.

However, Premier League side Arsenal included a buy-back clause into the €1m sale to the Tuscans two years ago and could possibly exercise it this summer.
