Roma President James Pallotta has denied a ‘bull’ report in La Repubblica that claimed Daniele De Rossi wanted Francesco Totti out of the club.

The Roman newspaper cited a leaked email from ex-Roma fitness coach Ed Lippie – sent to Pallotta in December of last year – that read how De Rossi, along with Edin Dzeko, Kostas Manolas and Aleksandar Kolarov, called for the heads of not only Coach Eusebio Di Francesco and sporting director Monchi but also Totti.

Above all, the quartet would have felt uncomfortable by the club icon’s presence in the dressing room.

La Repubblica notes Lippie’s sources were medics Riccardo Del Vescovo and Damiano Stefanini – both of whom left the Olimpico with Di Francesco and Monchi in March.

When pressed on the allegations, Pallotta told RomaPress: “It’s all the usual bull. I’m going to clear it up today.”

Corriere dello Sport, meanwhile, writes De Rossi has been ‘deeply shocked’ by the report and is considering legal action against the authors of the story.
