Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu, a player they offered €18m plus €2m in bonuses to sign in January 2018.
According to Calcionapoli24.it, the Azzurri are ready to return to the negotiation table for the Spain international after his impressive season in the Premier League.
The Partenopei previously showed an interest in signing the Spaniard in the 2018 winter transfer window, while the player was out of favour and sitting on the Barcelona bench.
An agreement couldn’t be found, and Napoli sporting director turned his sights on to Simone Verdi instead, with the Italian failing to impress at the Stadio San Paolo, a move for Deulofeu could be back on the cards.
The one-time Milan attacker scored 12 times in 33 appearances and provided five assists for the Hornets this year.
The 25-year-old former Barcelona youth team product joined Watford for €13m last summer and would be a cheaper alternative to PSV Eindhoven’s €50m rated Mexican forward Hirving Lozano.
