Torino are reportedly preparing a €13m bid for Napoli left-back Mario Rui and are ready to exercise their €10m option on Chelsea’s Ola Aina.
According to Tuttosport, Toro Coach Mazzarri has asked President Urbano Cairo to bring in the Portugal international this summer.
The 28-year-old has fallen out of favour at the San Paolo this season, while receiving heavy criticism from the home crowd, and his agent recently confirmed his exit.
The former Empoli man joined the Partenopei in the summer of 2017 for a €10m fee after a failed spell at Roma, where he suffered a knee ligament injury.
The defender is reported to be of interest to Milan, Sampdoria, and Benfica, while a reunion with Maurizio Sarri also remains on the cards.
Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Granata will exercise their €10m option to buy on Chelsea’s Ola Aina.
The 22-year-old Nigeria international arrived from the Premier League side last August on loan and impressed this year, playing 30 times in Serie A while scoring the winning goal against Udinese in February.
