Legendary Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi believes Paolo Maldini is ‘absolutely the right man’ for technical director, as is ‘master’ Marco Giampaolo.
Maldini and Giampaolo are expected to have their appointments ratified soon, with the club icon effectively replacing Leonardo and the Samp Coach to fill their managerial vacancy.
“Paolo’s absolutely the right man. He’s close to the fans,” Sacchi told Domenica Sportiva.

“Paolo’s absolutely the right man. He’s close to the fans,” Sacchi told Domenica Sportiva.
“The important thing will also be to give him some autonomy. Giampaolo’s a master, he’s one of those Coaches who act as both a scriptwriter and director.”
The 73-year-old then expressed his gratitude for the work done by Gennaro Gattuso, who gave up the remaining two years of his contract before stepping down.
“I’m happy to be a friend of his, he gave his life to the club and when someone gives their life, you can only thank them.”
