Juventus could lose Merih Demiral to Atletico Madrid as the Spanish club have reportedly outbid them for the Sassuolo defender.
Juve were thought to have exercised a €15m option to buy Demiral, but Gazzetta dello Sport’s Carlo Laudisa warns Atleti have offered €20m.
It now remains to be seen how binding the Bianconeri’s right of purchase is.
The Old Lady are in need of new defenders, with Andrea Barzagli having retired, Giorgio Chiellini turning 35 in August and Martin Caceres set to return to Lazio.
However, Diego Simeone’s side have arguably a greater need for reinforcements at the back as Diego Godin, Juanfran and Lucas Hernandez have all moved on.
