According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Boban will primarily act as a figurehead in Milan’s dealings with Lega Serie A, the FIGC, UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA).

The newspaper adds the ball now lies in the court of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who has been informed of the proposal.

The Croat played for the Rossoneri between 1991 and 2001, winning four Scudetti and a Champions League.
