Former Juventus and Atalanta defender Paolo Montero has been named the new Coach of Serie C side Sambenedettese.

The role marks Montero’s first as the Coach of an Italian club and his first since leaving Argentine side Rosario Central in 2017.

The 47-year-old played 277 times for Juve between 1996 and 2005, winning four Scudetti and reaching three Champions League Finals.

Indeed, he is one of three players with the most Champions League Final appearances to not win the trophy, alongside ex-teammates Alessio Tacchinardi and Gianluigi Buffon.
