Ex-Fiorentina patron Diego Della Valle expects Federico Chiesa to stay ‘for at least another year’ as Rocco Commisso ‘can’t show up without him’.
The Della Valle family sold their majority stake in Fiorentina to Commisso on Thursday, and the Italo-American billionaire has already vowed ‘to do everything’ to keep Chiesa.
“Chiesa must stay and he will for at least another year,” Diego [pictured, left] told Corriere dello Sport.

The Della Valle family sold their majority stake in Fiorentina to Commisso on Thursday, and the Italo-American billionaire has already vowed ‘to do everything’ to keep Chiesa.
“Chiesa must stay and he will for at least another year,” Diego [pictured, left] told Corriere dello Sport.
“I respect contracts and make sure they’re respected. Chiesea is central to the Fiorentina project developed by Commisso.
“He can’t show up in Florence without Chiesa and he knows that. If we chose him, it’s because we’re convinced he’ll work for the good of Fiorentina.”
