Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis claims “Inter want to dismantle my team and asked for my strongest players,” but is not interested in Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus move.
The Partenopei patron praised the work done by his Coach Carlo Ancelotti this year in transitioning from Maurizio Sarri’s style of football to one less rigid while utilising his entire squad, unlike the current Chelsea tactician.
“Ancelotti did very well, the results confirm that he did,” De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I don’t pay attention to the Sarri to Juventus rumours, I am completely detached from this affair. I think that once you turn 18 you are responsible for your own actions, that’s all.
“Napoli fans should know that the summer transfer window is very long, and many things can happen from now until September 2. We are only at the beginning of June.
“We will have to sell before we can buy, however, we have a lot of players, and before we add to them, we need to figure out who is staying and who is leaving. When I talked with my colleagues, we established that we need a striker.
“A right-back, which we have already purchased (in Empoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo), and a left-back if one of ours were to leave, otherwise we are ok in the position as Faouzi Ghoulam has shown that he is recovering from his injury and with a proper pre-season under his belt will be back to his previous levels.”
The Azzurri have been heavily linked with PSV Eindhoven forward Hirving Lozano over the past few months, as well as Inter striker Mauro Icardi.
“On Lozano, I can’t say anything, but we are aware of all the good strikers on the market, and we are waiting to pounce once the right opportunity arises. We tried to take Icardi three years ago.
“My staff tells me that Inter wants to dismantle my team and have asked for my strongest players, but I have no intention of selling them, not Piotr Zielinski and not Lorenzo Insigne.
“Insigne could play in any of the big European teams, but right now he is with Napoli and he is happy. We are not a supermarket; our players are not for sale unless we buy someone whom we think will make the team stronger. So many teams ask for our players, but they are not for sale.”
