Lazio President Claudio Lotito has reportedly blocked sporting director Igli Tare’s potential move to Milan, offering him an increased salary and a contract extension.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Biancocelesti patron has offered Tare an improved contract, running until 2023, while doubling his current salary.

The 45-year-old Albanian played for Le Aquile for three seasons before accepting a backroom role at the capital club in 2008.

The paper reports that the Rossoneri will now turn their attention to Sampdoria’s Carlo Osti, former Roma director Ricky Massara, and Atalanta’s Giovanni Sartori to take over the sporting director role at San Siro.
