“The odds going into this semi-final are 50-50,” Nicolato told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a battle of collectives and I don’t think there’s one particular player who can decide it, one way or another. Ukraine were in the U19 European Championship semi-final last year, are very well-organised and I think it’ll be a balanced, tactical game.

“Obviously, in these one-off knockout round ties, a single incident can make a huge difference. We need the utmost concentration and a little bit of luck.

“There is immense enthusiasm and desire to get out there. We hope to put in a good performance and are happy to have reached this level, but right now mustn’t hold back or consider our options.

“The greatest victory is having no regrets. We want to continue like this and give all we’ve got.”
