Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali denies selling Merih Demiral to Juventus, although “we do have a very good rapport and will evaluate the situation.”
There are multiple reports the Turkey international has been sold to Juve for €15m plus bonuses, with many considering it a done deal.
“Demiral was not just scouted by Juventus, as many clubs came to watch him,” director of sport Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia.
“We do have a very good rapport with Juventus and will evaluate the situation. We only signed him in January, so we are very proud of our scouting network and the way Roberto De Zerbi got the best out of him.”
Other players who could be on their way out of Sassuolo include Milan-bound Stefano Sensi.
“Our intention is to keep the most important players in the squad. We are not a club who sell easily. Naturally, if the lad wants to try something more ambitious elsewhere, we could let him go for the right price.
“If Domenico Berardi stays, then we’ll be very happy about that, as we want him to become a club symbol.
“As for Jeremie Boga, unfortunately he had this injury that kept him out for a few months, but we won’t consider any offer until next summer, as he still has more to give.”
